Much of the Market Stall Co range is made in a raw radiata plywood so any scuffs or marks can be sanded off using a medium to fine grit sandpaper 120-180G.

For all melamine and laminate surfaces, we recommend using a stainless steel cleaner, a dry rag and elbow grease!

You will need to dry the product as quickly as possible to avoid permanently staining the timber. A towel or hair dryer can be used. Following that raw timber will need to be sanded.

Over time sunlight exposure will change the colour of all timbers. Extreme temperature differentials will also make the timber more prone to movement, bowing and cupping. We recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and to store in a dark dry environment.

When transporting use protective blankets to protect from impact and scratching.

Do not overload the display with heavy items or drag items across the timber.

Avoid exposure to liquids as this will stain and/or damage timber.

There are many different species of timber used in plywoods. Predominantly Market Stall Co uses radiata plywood with a raw sanded finish. Radiata is a softwood which is lighter in weight for transporting and perfect for setting up at events! Whereas other plywoods we use such as okoume and birch plywood are hardwoods which tend to be heavier but more stable timbers.

The main difference between hardwood and softwood is that hardwood trees generally grow slower and are deciduous trees which leads to a denser wood and softwood trees are evergreen trees and do not shed their leaves.

Every species of timber will also have a different colour, grain and finish.

Market Stall Co uses A/A and B/B and B/C graded plywood. As there are two sides to a piece of plywood the two letters indicate the quality of each side.

A grade plywood has the highest quality finish, with no visible defects.

B grade plywood also has a high quality finish, however small sound knots and other minor timber defects may occur.

C grade plywood generally contains knots, some defects and filler.
