Hardwood Chest Of Drawers
The Market Stall Co hardwood chest of drawers are fast becoming our absolute favourite home furniture piece. Laura designed these drawers for our baby boy Atlas to have in his room for well, his entire life. These drawers are lovingly made to last from amazing hardwood right here in our workshop in melbourne. Absolutely no mdf, not even in the backing, can be found in these beautiful hardwood chest of drawers.
Our chest of drawers is made from solid timber, kiln dried australian hardwood. The internal of the drawers and backing of the drawers is made from a premium hardwood plywood. We've chosen this material instead of making the draws from the kiln dried Australian hardwood for a few reasons; firstly it's lighter in weight, we love the visible lines of the plywood along the inside edge of the draws and also we love working with premium plywoods too.
The legs are made from one inch tasmanian oak dowel and finished with felt furniture pads.
The brass coloured pull handles and matching brass and stone drawer handles creating a luxe feel to the unit. Giving it a little bit extra but not too much.
The soft close drawers themselves are a must from a function perspective and we've hidden the rail on the underside of the drawers so they aren't visible when the drawers are open and the timber look isn't ever interrupted.
The exterior of the hardwood chest of drawers is lovingly finished with a protective matte varnish coating.
