Expo Walling Might Just Be the Unsung Hero of Your Event
When you think about what makes an event visually memorable, the expo walling probably isn’t the first idea that springs to mind. But... maybe it should be. Because behind every set up that makes you stop in your tracks, every gallery-style display, and every branded backdrop, there’s an expo wall doing the heavy lifting. Literally.
Event and expo walling is the kind of behind-the-scenes hero that quietly supports an events vision while giving the flexibility to get creative in the space.Â

Whether you’re carving out a quiet corner at a busy expo or making an art piece pop with gallery-like minimalism, good walling brings form and function.

Meet Our Plywood Event and Expo Walling System: Built for Flexibility, Styled for Impact
We designed our plywood expo walling system where only a world of white existed. The beautiful, chic markets, conferences, expos and events we bump our display infrastructure into are always provided with the same run of the mill white painted MDF or PVC panels. That is because traditionally, that is all that was available to section stallholders and exhibitors. Do the white walls support the premium infrastructure and extensive set ups that the brands are using in their stand? Does it add to the overall feeling of the space?Â
The Market Stall Co event and expo walling is a modern take; made from durable, high-quality plywood for a warm, natural look and feel. They are a premium option that will create a mood white walls cannot offer.
Walling That Works. CASE STUDY: The Inner West Art Fair
In 2023, the Inner West Art Fair began inside the stunning Newport Substation where the Fair showcased contemporary works from some of Australia’s most exciting independent artists. With such a large, open space and a diverse group of exhibitors, IWAF needed a way to break up the space without making it feel crowded.
Enter our plywood event and expo walling system!
We used it to create clean, consistent stall spaces throughout the venue. The neutral timber tones provided a warm, gallery-like backdrop for paintings, prints, and 3D works, allowing the art to speak for itself. Exhibitors were able to mount pieces easily and securely, and this professionally curated event was oozing with artist charm.
The feedback? Big love from both the organiser and artists. The walling elevated the whole experience, making it functional, beautiful, and incredibly versatile. Enough so that it made a return in 2024, and we will be back for the November 2025 event as well!
In Action Expo Edition: Wyndham Business Expo
Our plywood walling isn’t just for galleries or creative spaces, commercial and business spaces deserve a premium finish too.
At the Wyndham Business Expo, the walling helped create a polished, professional presence that aligned with the tone of the event, while feeling upmarket and design-forward. It’s a great example of how our event and expo walling can support small businesses, local makers, and established brands in one space.

Styling Tips: Make Your Walling Work Harder!
A timber wall is a great start, but it’s what you do with it that counts. A few quick styling wins:
- Add signage: Vinyl decals, posters, or hanging boards add visual clarity and brand presence.
- Get graphic: Custom printed panels or painted features can tie in with your event theme.
- Play with layers: Shelving, mounted displays, or integrated lighting add depth and interest.
- Make it interactive: Encourage guests to leave a note, take a photo, or scan a QR code, walling can be your canvas and your message board.
Whether you’re sectioning off a pop-up shop or curating an entire art fair, the right walling system makes all the difference. Ours just happens to look good doing it.
